December 2025 - present

As a student teacher, I lead classroom discussions and assess student progress with care. My responsibilities also include planning and implementing standard-driven lesson plans based on the Missouri DESE Secondary ELA Standards. I actively participate in professional development days offered in my building, ensuring I am up-to-date with best practices. Additionally, I manage all Learning Management System (LMS) activities through Google Classroom, print all necessary resources, grade assignments, and teach all classes.

Western Governors University

June 2025 - present

Graduate student in Western Governors University's School of Education. I have completed the following classes: Learner Development and the Science of Learning, Practices for Inclusive Classrooms, Establishing Positive and Engaging Learning Environments, Technology and Ethics, Curriculum and Instructional Strategies, Student Learning Through Assessment, Technology for Instruction and Online Pedagogy, Secondary Methods, Secondary ELA Curriculum, Teaching Adolescent Literature, Secondary Literacy Methods and Interventions, Teaching Writing in Secondary Schools, and Secondary Disciplinary Literacy. These classes were completed in tandem with simulated online classroom experiences, and in-person clinical classroom experiences.
